Superior Uniform Group Employee

"First off, anyone considering employment with this company should be aware that the name has been changed recently from Superior Uniform Group to SGC or Superior Group of Companies. I recommend researching the various names. There's a fascinating history of lawsuits and poor reviews on the books. A job at SGC would be best suited as a very short stint in one's career unless you enjoy having your contributions overlooked and working on personal projects for top brass on company time. There is very little opportunity for advancement at Superior Uniform Group. The company culture there is one of nepotism and favoritism. Most of the managers are highly unprofessional and unqualified. Employees are routinely condescended to. Kudos, promotions and substantial increases are generally reserved for members of the ruling families and their workout buddies. Sadly, executives turn a blind eye towards merit, creativity and intelligence when it comes to most employees. Despite recent overtures to the contrary, Superior does not have creativity and innovation. Employee input is generally ignored as upper management is highly ego-driven. Human Resources answers directly to the company's in-house attorney who quickly puts the kibosh on any efforts by HR to ease employee concerns regarding issues such as the air quality in the building. The company's main focus is acquisition, as in buying other companies. With that in mind, be forewarned that several employees usually get terminated before each new acquisition so the very concept of job security is non-existent. I would not recommend this company to anybody looking for a satisfying, stimulating and rewarding job."
