Student Mentor at Staying Ahead of the Game

"It is a great place to start a psych career and flexible for the life I was operating in at the time. I plan to stay in psychology and am pursuing my PhD, but do not plan to stay at a mentor, tutor, coach because I have evolved passed this and need a more challenging career. Thus why I have developed my thesis and dissertation around real world application UX/UI interface designs, digital textbooks etc....BUT that being said the owner and ceo is one of the best guys I have ever met!"

"Very low pay, temporary position and not a permanent solution."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Can give better pay and better positions could be made available."

"I enjoy working in a team alongside a friendly group of students. We are able to draw similarities and collaborate well together. I also enjoy being able to empower and advise younger students on the opportunities available to them at University."

"I would tell them they need to try and demonstrate and some soft skills such as teamwork and interpersonal skills, but more importantly that they are eager and willing to learn."

What don't you like about working at University of Surrey?

"Sometimes it is difficult to make valuable input. There are students who are more difficult to approach."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would try to improve the monitoring of the workers."
