"It is a place to meet a lot of people. You get to learn all day, every day. It is easy to train yourself to a very high level - they have all you need, including time."

"As a co-op, I didn't get any benefits, but that's to be expected."

"For the most part, the crew I worked with kept very high spirits. The atmosphere was very professional. This was an extremely educational position and environment. Seeking challenges and higher knowledge was part of the culture."

"Keep yourself visible and your name on the tips of decision makers' tongues. Getting lost in the shuffle is very easy."
What don't you like about working at Merck?
"Large company politics and extensive procedures for obtaining authorization made it very difficult to get things done quickly, although I do understand the reasoning. Unionized labor force created instances where appearances meant all and substance meant next to nothing."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Unfortunately, during the end of my time a turn over in the intern relations department created the lowest percentage of interns receiving full time positions in their history."
