The Starr Conspiracy Employee

"This organization has some of the brightest people and they possess that drive to really succeed. People are coming up with different ideas and new approaches to solving client issues, which is exactly what you want to see. It's a great culture that supports a work hard, play hard mentality. Unlimited PTO, kegerator, stocked shelf of booze, birthday and anniversary lunches, etc. were all nice things but...There's no real structure or defined processes when it comes to business development and there is a lack of use of Salesforce, which is a joke in itself. What furthers my disappointment is the attempt to set meetings by stating "we are going to be in your area over the next couple of weeks" to see if a potential client would meet with us. This used car salesman approach might have worked a year ago but it doesn't now and is a slap in the face to any respectable salesperson. Passing off duties and using terms like "we" or "us" when you actually mean "me" is disrespectful and quite frankly is very upsetting. Also, I have zero respect for anyone who uses a condescending tone when talking to someone. Talk to me, not at me. Lastly, this condescending tone has been observed in "planning sessions" and probably can give you a really good idea of why you're struggling. Someone needs to step up and lead this organization by example and not through an aggressively charged speeches about debt that has somehow landed on the shoulders of the entire organization. If you're in a debt problem, take a look at where you can save money without firing people and motivate them without aggressively charged speeches about your debt problem. Lastly, you lose all faith in your team when you use unprofessional language in front of your entire organization. You bit off more than you can chew and now you're struggling."
