"Managing a new divison to sucess,and building up sales for me and the account managers in a vertical market"

"Beware, they will let you build up thre business only to have you start over due to compensation."

What don't you like about working at Staples?

"The lack of competent,trust worthy upper managers. You build it and they will take it away to control your world. Moving the Cheese and making change just to make a change. A lack of focus due to changes , and putting in managing staff with no grace of authority. They all seem to intimidate,berate their employees even whwen they have a winning situation. All of my managers were HEAVY drinkers and were not happy in their position."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Learn to have Grace with authority and back your people,be involved in problem solving not the problem."

What do you like about working at Staples?

"The job was great, challenging and never the same day twice."

"Stay out of the Contract Division unless you want to play games instead of work."

What don't you like about working at Staples?

"Management is immature and unprofessional. They are allowed to retaliate and carry out personal vendettas on subordinates with no repercussion. Usually a subordinate making a great deal of money for the company that is honest. Really a sad group that make the entire Staples company look bad."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Clean house in the Contract Division, get some professional management, keep hard-working, honest, successful people that make the company money. Stop the junior high club that exists."
