"Obsolete means of documentation, outdated delivery of care, lack of computerized documentation, very old fashioned pharmacy interactions with the tiers/staff"

"I would prefer working in work settings where I feel and I think the work conditions make the environment and delivery of care effective in the care of patients"

"The direct supervisors can be harsh, but when they are good, the policies are wonderful."
What do you like about working at Kaiser Permanente?
"I liked the non-profit status, this does make it so the company invests in helping patients rather than making the share holders happy. They do try to walk their talk."
What don't you like about working at Kaiser Permanente?
"The lower level managers seem to want absolute control. The ones that are good are quickly promoted but the bad ones stay and float around to cause unhappiness."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Less micro-managing. Believe it or not, you do not know how to do the jobs better than your employees, let them have more autonomy."

"Be prepared for multiple changes. If you get on the right floor with the right managers, it is a great place to work."

"Difficult to speak for all managers, but I feel that if my manager cannot perform my job or has never performed my job, then they do not need to be in a management position. Some managers had favorites and was difficult to work in that type of environment."
