"Good company but I just really was not in to the mail distribution side of the business."
"This company has really helped me grow and develop in my professional career."
"I have worked with the company for 2 and a half years. They have underpaid me, overworked me, and have very poor business practices when it comes to allocating projects and development time with their developers. They have hired workers that get paid 50% more than me doing the same assignments while I have to teach them the basics of how our company project works. The culture is very factory worker style with no socialization benefits other than a yearly holiday party."
"Good place to excell in fund services industry."
"It's a small shop that is really connected and does extremely sophisticated and high quality work."
"Good company but it can vary with what team you are put into"
"It’s not a bad company. Depends what team you are on."
"No work life balance. New technologies usage not encouraged."
"SS&C's record of growth by acquisition has benefited their bottom line but not their employees. There are some strong performers but they are typically drowned out by the clashes of disparate cultures and the company's inability to hire or maintain top talent. Short term thinking and a sales first mindset has hindered the companies ability to deliver the best products or services, and all too often customers are signed due to sales' proficiency or too cheap a price rather than a good fit and ability to meet the prospects demands. Some business lines perform very well though and take care of their employees and prop up the rest of the organization. The company's biggest successes appear to be those that are most hands off and allow acquisitions to stay the course."
"SS&C Technologies is a decent company that had bought my previous employer (Open Information Systems). Open Information Systems tended to hire cheaper talent but did have some really good software developers on board. Their major problem was their tendency to copy their entire code base for every client. Not the best approach in my opinion."
