"I've worked at Spirit Aerosystems for over 5 years. The company has a hard working culture, and a very strong engineering team. Spirit employs roughly 12,000 people in Wichita, KS, and has locations across the globe. Spirit manufactures large aerostructures for companies such as Boeing and Airbus."

"Good company to work for. Has a lot of good legacy ethics left from the Boeing days. I think the 737MAX troubles will go on longer than they are preparing for, and Spirit will have a hard few years ahead. (Jan 2020)"

"If you enjoy working 40+ hours with moderate to high stress in an aged facility this place is for you. Benefits and pay are pretty good but work/life balance can be a struggle, especially if you desire to move up the corporate ladder. For my department, on-boarding and education are not standardized so you have to hope that your coworker that trains you gives you correct information. Also, the departments in charge of giving you a computer, monitor, and system accesses are slow to act and don't always do the best job."

"A decent company to work for but there are union rules and regulations you have to abide by."

"Management disregards people's safety. Along with management pushing everyone to the breaking point as everyone is doing their best to get done what they can. Insurance costs are lower than most other companies but those are now on the rise as well."

"I have worked at Spirit for over two years now and have been promoted twice during that time. The company has a very strong financial position with over a billion dollar backlog. The company is very diverse. I currently project manage the implementation of SAP for the Tulsa site."

"It's not a bad company, just be ready to work three weekends out of the month. Management isn't too bad, it's just the nature of the parts being made. None of the work is actually hard and it is a pretty relaxed environment. As far as some of the other employees, they are burnt out and pretty tired of the job but they are pretty much stuck here due to the lack of an industrial presence. So you will run across the usual bad attitude. As long as you pay attention to your work it's easy."

"Company is having difficulty getting beyond antiquated, production-above-all procedures dating back decades. Inventory control and accountability are non-existent."
