Technical Support Engineer
in Austin, TX

"Good place to start your career."

What do you like about working at Spectrum?

"The benefits were good."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you have any experience at all, look for a better place."

What don't you like about working at Spectrum?

"The ever changing policies that come out almost daily, the way that the employees are told one thing on one day to come in and be something completely different the next day. The impossible time limit on set for support calls if the tech really wants to fix the issue over the phone."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Be more understanding and flexible on call times, allow the reps to fix the issues in a timely manner rather than restricting them to a call time to low for any real work to be accomplished."

"TimeWarnerCable. Look to hire new management in Austin TX."

What do you like about working at Spectrum?

"Medical benefits and free services for employees."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Keep documentation of all interactions with supervisors/leads/advocates/managers, and if they refuse just insist on having it in writing! Don't be kicked out on the street without a job, because of Time Warner Cable's poor micromanagement."

What don't you like about working at Spectrum?

"Micromanagement, supervisors/managers fail to follow through with their word, and at best they don't follow policy regarding attendance and family matters. Further, they force/threaten you to work overtime without compensation for time you miss when sick/ill/fmla."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Hire supervisors and managers that follow policy and care about employee welfare and state of mind. If a manager/supervisor is sick or has a terminal disease... have another manager/supervisor take over their responsibility so employees are left out."
