"Sonoco Plastics in Union, SC is an excellent operation with a Plant Manager who is people oriented and committed to meeting and exceeding plant objectives. This plant is currently struggling with declining sales due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but customers are slowly returning. If you have an opportunity to join this organization, I would highly encourage you to consider it."

"very hot in summer time needs more input from employess on how things are done"

"treat people the same do unto others as you would do unto them."

"I worked for and with Sonoco for many years. They are a great company to work for and with. I was last employed to help implement Oracle with the IPD division with my main focus being Cost Accounting."

"I loved working for APT. I had the responsibilty and freedom to grow the plant and improve its performance. I didn't have much time under Sonoco ownership."

"Nothing other than how you would present yourself at any other company."

"The company was in evolution so there were different things in different stages of its development."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"The management changed from virtually no corporate to a heavy corporate presence. Therefore I have no suggestions."

"I have work for the company for 2 years. The company is very focused on safety. Overall Sonoco is a great company to work for."

"We at Sonoco often joke that it's the safest place on earth but, honestly it is extremely safe and the people that work there all care for one another. Not to speak for Sonoco as a whole but, this plant in particular has terrible management. Everyone that visits our plant from other plants tell us it's not like that anywhere else. They say they care but their actions speak otherwise. We also work A LOT of overtime every week. Overall though I must say this is the best job I have ever had."

"Boss treated people dfferent they had their golden boys and excape goats .and they used them all the time."

"treat all employees equal and amit when they are wrong or did someting wrong than blaming some one else."
