"I enjoyed the extensive technical training, intelligence analysis and security briefings, and working with a good group of guys. I mainly didn't like the overnight watches, but it is a necessary part of the job."

"Stressful, but at times it was overall good."

What do you like about working at United States Navy?

"The team environment. In my division we helped each other out all the time. If we see someone struggling, we always ask, do you need any help?"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be straightforward, honest and upbeat. I try to be positive all the time. Most people say I am always in a good mood, and happy to be around with at work. I like to be straightforward with things because time is money. If I say, I don't know how to do it I really mean it. I can figure it out. (I always do, or manage to get it done). Since time is money, it is going to take me time to research the problem. I rather, ask for help, learn, take notes, and when a similar problem comes along, I know what to do. I want people to trust me."

What don't you like about working at United States Navy?

"The traveling. Average year is 80 days at home port. It was hard to have a personal life."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Not to micro manage. Under one Captain, the officers started overlooking our every shoulder. To me, it is a sign of not trusting."
