What do you like about working at Guitar Center?

"The hours were good. The people were easy to work with and the customers were treated well."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"It's a great place to learn sales, and sales tactics, but look to get out in a year or two. There is very little room to advance in the company."

What don't you like about working at Guitar Center?

"I had to negotiate prices and sometimes price match, which meant that my pay would take a hit. There was nothing the manager would do or say other than take the deal."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"The company should restructure its salary compensation so the employees don't feel like clerks."
