"DO NOT WORK HERE!!! The kids are great but the women are AWFUL!!! Catty, gossiping, lazy, trouble-making, bullying, dirty, vicious, jealous, they spend the majority of the day engaging in work avoidance and watching what everyone else does! They are unhappy so they don't like anyone who IS happy! They steal food and sneak out for smoke breaks. One in particular is a bully, spending the entire day criticizing what everyone else does (she can do it better but doesn't!) has a foul mouth and makes racist comments."

"If you are looking for a company that treats you with respect and holds value to your concerns; that pays you enough to cover your bills and have a little extra spending money; one where everyone is treated fairly and respectfully; one where the manager actually chips in and helps with things around the kitchen; where there is no drama and everyone works wonderfully with each other... do NOT look here. If you are looking to be degraded on a daily basis; made to cry because the manager is that mean; meant to withhold perfect abilities and never make a mistake; be sabotaged by other employees; be gossiped about; have drama every day and leave work being so stressed out--then this is the place for you! Maybe it was just this location, who knows, but what a terrible experience, but the drama and BS that went on was always thrown back at me. That manager badly needs to attend anger management or learn how to treat people!"

"I have worked for Sodexo for two years now. They have robbed me of my benefits and if I had to pay bills alone, my family would starve. The management is big headed and slightly idiotic. The HR lady is just plain lazy and the GM had no idea what he's doing. This company is unorganized and disrespectful. Never work for them."

"I worked for Chick-fill-A on Wichita State University campus. It was great experience to work. I enjoyed the daily interaction with people."

"I worked with Sodexo at Kennesaw State University. I learned a lot about the managerial staff. Unfortunately what I learned was not very virtuous. The managers take advantage of the younger employees, usually college students, who are just trying to make it. If you call them on what they are doing, you will usually be punished by being passed over on promotions. I finally decided to leave. I learned a lot of negative things about the work force through them."

"The job as a food server is easy, really easy. It's just very disorganized, frustrating, and there is no actual training process which does not couple well with the fact that there is a high staff rotation due to everybody working there being a student, or at least used to be, you can expect everybody to quit within a year or two. My motto for the place is, "Get good, leave." As in, get good at the job, then leave shortly afterwards, because by that time you're off to your new job that actually has something to do with what you studied or is simply better than here. We're discouraged, or better said, prevented from working 30 or more hours, and if you prove to be a useful worker you become an unofficial "shift lead" which has no benefits besides being tasked with more jobs and being responsible for the shortcomings of your other cowers on your shift. Since we are contracted out by the school, they have a strong grip on what our budget is to work with, what we serve, and how we handle our appearance. So far, the only way to really get a tool or machine that is breaking down replaced is for it to become completely useless. I have been trying to get our coffee machine replaced for the past four months, the school and the Sodexo company have had a repairman look at it about eight times now. Ridiculous. The job is easy, but I'm frustrated at how disorganized and difficult to improve it can be."

"Worked here for almost a year, got promoted but the pay was very low from employee to supervisor with only a 15% raise, which was only $1.50 extra, sad."

"I found that management within Sodexo, and the company itself, take the stance of encouraging the growth and improvement of its employees. Unfortunately, I also found too much drama and an inequality in the treatment among employees. Snap judgments by managers and the inability to stand firm on a given topic permeated middle management. Communication with employees was minimal, with almost no feedback on performance and improvement."
