The Chairman of Dish has too much control of what the average employee does, so there is not much empowerment to be found. I had a great boss, and the day to day was good. While I love working with the people I do, and enjoy the micro-culture my team and those around us have cultivated, I am not a fan of the company in general. They spend so much time trying to preach how much they care, but then do everything they can to make sure their employees take hits in things like Insurance instead of them. I have seen many times where, when they have a chance to act on the people first mantra they spew, they do the exact opposite. I don't mind if a company does what's best for them, in fact I expect it, but be honest."
