Working at Skydio in Milpitas, CA: 1 Employee Reviews

Skydio Employee

"I've worked at skydio for over 4 years and have helped create and launch 4 next gen products so I've seen the entire manufacturing process and what it entails. From what I have experienced at skydio, 99% of it is perfect but that last percent I took off is because of the bottomless pool of acid which engulfs the work environment in which you work while swarming with those who only acknowledge your presence if your degree allows those to do so. I have never seen such an elitist atmosphere in any work environment from my past work experience. Not to mention, the manufacturing building is a 1 minute walk. I have only seen the ceo 4 times in 4 years. I know he's busy but Elon musk has hundreds of companies and is still on the line at tesla. Just adds to the elitist attitude. Next, problems here won't get solved until the absolute worst case scenario happens which usually results in someone loosing their job regardless if you let upper management know ahead of time. Lastly, caring about your work is frowned upon heavily. None of the other engineers show any interest or knowledge about what they do or about what is going on. Everyone seems lost, everything is out of order and more time is wasted waiting for another process to finish up before you can continue the next process than the amount of time that existed before the formation of the cosmos. If you bring that last point up it gets brushed off as growing pains, but after 4 years of ignoring it due to the belief of these "growing pains" I can say without a shadow of a doubt that these growing pains are actually just the norm. There's more to it than what is here however take a trip over and ask some of the employees individually if it sounds unbelievable. Because it is. But it's true."
