"As business owner I enjoy making decisions, serveing the public, and rip the benefit if I do well."

"Be a hanhs- on manager, but also delgegate when necessary."

"The old managers were great. Treated everybody equally. I got to meet a lot of new people."

"Give hours to the people that work the hardest."

"You give your life over for the meager control you get after the GM leave at 8pm."

"As a manager, you get to know the guest because at least 70% of the times, you are a cashier."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"There are looking for managers who can upsell (verbally (cashier, you)) there products and take care of the customers. Basically, they are looking for words such as I am a people person and I know I can sell."

What don't you like about working at Sizzler?

"The GM is there to 8pm and regular managers have no control of store because you are the cashier. I've been working in at least six corporate stores and every one has been the same.Corp is not opening any stores except thru franchisees (individual owners like yourself) so don't expect to move up the ladder. No Thanksgiving or X-mas off."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I work at a corporate training store and heard the many salary level from new recruits. lowest is 34k to 45k to start. Start high.Also if you don't have a life, this is for you. Only two standard hrs for mgrs: 9am -8pm or 12pm to 12am. Guess who has the good hours."
