"Working for Shelby County Clerks Office was very interesting. If you will like a basic 9-5, no overtime, average pay, standard office setting, and have the ability to deal with irate customers this is the perfect job for you. Requirements include having a High School Diploma, basic computer skills, and customer service skills. That being said it is very difficult to advance due to the current administration. This company is stuck in the olden days. Its all about who you know in order to get a promotion. That is exactly why I took my Bachelors degree and skills elsewhere. Perfect job for employees who are just stepping foot in the job sector, however not perfect for employees who want to advance in their careers."
"It’s a great job. You have the opportunity to apply skills to help the community. We do conduct outreaches, therefore public speaking skills are imperative. The jobs require one to be strong mentally because you are working with individuals greatly affected by communicable diseases."
"Overall this is a good place to work. The pace can be slower than what I am accustomed to and the politics can be a bit much at times. The people are great to work with and promote a family type of environment that is rare in my work experience."
"O M G ! Don't work here."
