"Ask for how much time is taken up by creating and sending reports to the mill and various levels of management. Also, question them about how much field mentoring/coaching you will receive as a new territory manager. If you can find a sales support or other role it is better than a sales role with this company during this economic climate."

"The shipping process is too cumbersome and needs an overhall. There are too many layers of managers and too much micromanaging from a reporting standpoint. Company politics are rampant."

"More training and coaching time is needed for the sales staff. Teaching by doing it in the field for improved sales performance is vital. When management has no suggestions for improvement when considerable challenges arise, it is a poor reflection on their leadership ability."
