"Started working as a salesman here in 2007 even though I hadn't done sales before. Was trained on the company's methods of marketing their merchandise and got to work. I was able to double my territory's volume in one year by selling new products to existing customers and selling new customers. The company comes out with new merchandise to sell every year and I'm still growing the territory. The best part is I get double the normal commission for selling new product and most of the customers are open to try the new stuff."

"Must be able to multi task in a fast paced environment, but other than that, a great place to work. The company offers flexible hours if needed. They offer a profit sharing trust plan that the company contributes to, which over the years have been very profitable. They offer paid vacation, sick time, holiday pay and yearly bonuses. Been there almost 20 years and have no intention of leaving anytime soon. Great co-workers who some become like family. Overall, a pretty good place to work."

"This by far is the worst sales job you will ever have. I am a current Manager and my sales people come and go on sometimes a monthly basis. Some quit after a few days. You will put 80,000 miles on your car per year. You pay 100 percent of your expenses. You are on straight commission. You will have no personal life. In many states like Kansas and South Dakota the company has gone thru 100 sales Reps in the last 15 years. Yes! 100! You have never seen anything like it. The National Sales Manager, the bosses son, is Unstable! I only stay because of the bad economy and I have to feed my family. I am now telling all my salesman to fake the inventory count by staying close to home and going into local customers. Other than close customers just take phone orders. You have to deceive this company in order to survive and put food on the table for your family"

"Service Tool allows you to freely do your job without being micro managed. They respect you enough to allow you to make your own schedule and sales decisions."

"This company doesn’t live up to it’s promise. Commission only with not enough accounts in the territory to support a real base. If your in a warmer climate area you could have a fighting chance."

"I've been employed with STC for 18 years and I'm a boom-a-rang. When I was asked to come back there was no hesitation. The owners are down to earth good hearted people who will give you the shirts off their backs. I couldn't think of working for any other establishment. I've gained a tremendous amount of knowledge about the importing, distributing and retailing business from my career here at STC. I will be forever grateful for the opportunity to earn a great living staying in my home town."

"I really enjoy working for Service Tool Company. They have so many great things to offer. They are very flexible with your schedule and time off. I have great co workers that are very easy to work with. They are always welcoming to show different things they have learned to help out your job. The work place is fast paced at times. This job has taught me many different things, from working with the sales force to learning more about our tools and products. I would recommend someone to work here."

"I have worked here since 2003. This has turned out to be the best job I ever had!! This is why I stay. This job has afforded me the luxury of being able to get my 3 kids through college. It also gives me flexibility in my schedule, way better than working in an office. The harder I work, the more I can make. That is truly the part I love about the job. It is a family run organization that treats you good if you do your job. If you are looking for a job with unlimited earning potential, this is the place. I am one of many that have been here, 5+ years, 10+ years, even 20+ years. I truly appreciate the opportunity I was given."

"Giving a 1-star is overrating this company - do not work here no matter how desperate. They make big promises and don't live up to them. You pay all your expenses and if something starts to sell good they lower the commission rate. They give you a scanner to do inventory and charge you insurance for it. But even worse - they cheat their customers. We were told to load up an order and send it to a customer even if they didn't order it. Then when they returned it they only got a credit with the company but the salesperson got docked in commission for the return. They also tell us to place orders in stores that have a warehouse account and bill them, the company also bills the warehouse account and they get double the money. The person that left before me filled his entire customer base with products and when I took over the territory I had to pay for all returned items - often leaving me with a negative check. This company was the worst mistake I made in my entire 35+ years in sales."
