"Some very good people, though several have left or been let go since I left. Many were willing to share technical knowledge with others, in order to strengthen the organization as a whole."

"Internal politics and loyalty to particular vendors seems to trump technical appropriateness in decision making about systems, and competence with regard to career path decisions."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"It's wonderful to elicit suggestions from those under you. The next step is to take them into consideration, and potentially implement a portion of them."
