"Sensory Sweep Studios; Crooked They wrote the book."

What do you like about working at Sensory Sweep Studios?

"Honestly it was the people who worked there, we had a good team on Need for Speed and even on Da VincI code. It's what made the place bearable."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Run away! There are plenty of other studios in the valley, don't be one of those bright eyed and bushy tailed kids from BYU duped into thinking it's ok to be kept from your new wife or child because at least you get pizza every night guys taken in by Dave and his silver tongue. You can do better. Besides, doesn't interviewing in the basement of Dave's house send up warning signals"

What don't you like about working at Sensory Sweep Studios?

"No compensation for the hard work you did, 60-70 hours a week, no weekends, there until 2 am and you only get a week of comp time off, and even then your begged not to take it. Also, after the second check bounced, I made sure to go to the company's bank and cash my check first, then I either got the money or was told there wasn't any money and had to march right back and ask for my money. To with he would respond, Just go back after 3pm and it will be there. Mind you, payday was on the 5th and the 20th of the month, but we got payed exactly at six o'clock which effectively meant we got paid on the 6th and 21st. I only had one week where I didn't get paid and was told I could only get $200 as payment until they got all the money to pay us, despite the fact that by law they had to pay us in full if we requested it. We were not treated as professional adults, we're on salary and yet had to clock in and out for work and lunches. If we decided to work through our lunch (as I did and still do at my new job) we had to be at our desk, if we weren't we would be written up. If we clocked out, at 7.56 hours we were robbing from him (his words) but it was ok for us to be there for 20 hours straight (isn't that robbing us)"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"That they stop it with the nepotism, stop hiring people that have no experience managing games (like their family and friends; see nepotism above), that they stop lying about something big is coming, people are banging down our doors for us to do their games), stop stealing 401K money, stop employing people in their basement of Dave's house, stop not paying SS taxes, pay their employee's and pay the people they owe months of back wages to, stop the shady deals to get around paying taxes or creditors or employees (can we say Sensory Sweep=Fooptube=Black Ice). Get rid of Dave and his sons all together."
