"Realage has gone through major changes in 2009; not the same company."
What do you like about working at RealAge?
"I learned a lot back when their website was in ASP.NET. Now it's being migrated into a custom CMS. It used to be a very enjoyable place to work and everyone was friendly."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Know what you are getting into. The company is going through major changes and is very volitale. Do you like snow Much of Realage is being moved to New York."
What don't you like about working at RealAge?
"But everything has changed. The company was bought by HEARST and although they promised us that nothing would change - everything changed."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Have your resumes ready. You never know when you will be next..."

"My experience at MGM."
What do you like about working at MGM Resorts?
"The people I worked directly with were first rate, both professionally and personally."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Know what you're getting yourself in for. The company has been sold several times in the past. I, personally, put too much of my heart into it. My intention was to work there for many years. However, one of these sales ended up in our entire group being let go. If you go in with the knowledge that the accountants and lawyers rule all, you'll be ok. Don't expect company loyalty. It ain't there!"
What don't you like about working at MGM Resorts?
"Management didn't have a clue. They treated creativity strictly as a commodity, so the bottom line was all important."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Realize that it's the people pulling your wagon, not the wagon carrying the people. I heard many times that what's good for the company is good for the people. That just may not be so. If a bean counter can see that the company can save a dollar by letting a veteran go, then that long-time employee is gone."

What do you like about working at Ebuyer US?
"The good thing was the crew and boss I had. Bryan was an awesome boss, understood the developers mentality, and protected us from outside influences."
What don't you like about working at Ebuyer US?
"EBuyer UK was very threatened by our development team. They refused to bring servers in to the US so that the US buyers could experience good access times, etc."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"The US team was constantly stifled by the UK team. EBuyer is a UK company so we were the red-headed step-children at best. I think management could have handled the relationship much better."

"Probably want to really emphasize your Agile skills, and be ready to go in depth on your technical expertise."
What don't you like about working at Motricity?
"I got laid off after 4 years there when the dot-com bubble disintegrated. Very sad day."
