"Find a niche in the department and stick with it. Share nothing, collaborate with nobody. Build a tower, sit in it, and drive your career from it."
What don't you like about working at AstraZeneca?
"When I was employed they offered training to carry out the role. No training has been provided and I am completely unable to carry out my role, which leads to frustration and depression at work. The company policy is RTFM but there is no FM."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would sack every member of IT immediately, without reference, or severance."

"Many interesting technical problem and very good people. The product was very good."

"The company is in serious financial trouble. Unless they get a large cash infusion, its best to stay away."

"Pay was low. There was often an intense pressure to get things done, but that is expected"

"Reward employees more. Also, do a better job of communicating what is going on"

"Be confident and ready to talk about your analytical skills. Be prepared to write about those skills. Get ready to talk to many people at various levels about your experiences."

"I did not like the instability of the environment at the end."

"Management by intimidation and threat. Uncompensated overtime. No sick time. Very few vacation days."

"Hire more competent managers to run the company. Two more vacation days could make the all the difference between good compensation and poor compensation."

"If you are interviewing for a post-doc position, I recommend that you request a 1-yr contract."

"The leadership is mean-spirited and behavior toward employees borders on being abusive. There is a general lack of integrity and respect toward technical staff."

"Constructive feedback usually falls on deaf ears. Nevertheless, I would suggest that the management start practicing the core values that they profess to embrace."

"The group members and colleagues were great. Enjoyed their professionalism."

"They were looking for a synthetic chemist. They loved me and I knew I would be hired after my talk."

"The company underwent lot of changes and not able to bring in much money."

"Well, you should think of the people those who invested their money in your company when you get your bonuses."

"High technology environment, many diverse projects available from which to choose."

"Each department is like a separate, independent company of no more than 50-60 people controlled by one manager. Each department can therefore be quite different from others."
What don't you like about working at SAIC?
"In highly classified projects, personnel turnover was very slow, leading to slow adoption of new technologies and continued use of many obsolete technologies."
