"In spite of the title, the work I was doing was in failure analysis. This role requires problem-solving aptitude and the ability to think outside the box to find solutions. These attributes are what drew me to the field, and why I stay. The greatest difficulty and challenge in this role is the time pressure to deliver the right answer. A root cause identification that comes too late to get a product to market timely is worse than useless, since the company had to invest resources to get it."
