"I code there for I am. At Walmart it almost feels like coding is a dying art. Thankfully I've built a name for myself which allows me to be constantly thrown into new waters. A higher title at times suggests more knowledge (ideally). It's harder to throw your weight around as an SPA. I normally have to explain myself in greater detail, which at times requires a little extra research (time). The one thing our upper levels don't always have."

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"SUNY at Buffalo has been a great place to work for."

What do you like about working at State University of New York?

"At least for the IT employees, the atmosphere is relaxed and collaborative. As long as one's merits are proven, creative outlets and work independence are encouraged. But that depends on his/her supervisor's management style. I have seen worst to great. Generally, they are good. Great state employee benefits and perks."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

What don't you like about working at State University of New York?

"Not much room for career advancement. You are treated like everyone else. This can be seen as a glass half-full or half-empty."

What suggestions do you have for management?
