"What we do actually matters. The products we make can saves people's lives. There is a team feeling that are doing good things for the country."

"Interview with the decision maker in the field in which you are going to work. Often they alone (unfortunately) control the direction a team takes."
What don't you like about working at Raytheon?
"Very slow to embrace new ideas/technologies. Still fighting the last war (i.e., looking for funding opportunities for old style concepts)"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Redefine innovation - it does not have to be all of new, significant, and save money. Sometimes the best money saving ideas are simple!"

"I resigned and no longer work for Symantec. I am currently self-employed."

"The money may be good and maybe it's the right place for you. But they have had several lay-offs in recent years so trust your instincts. Can be a good company for some."
What don't you like about working at Symantec?
"The work culture made working for the company an unpleasant experience. The SE management is honestly not trained to properly manage technical field sales engineers."

"Get sales and personnel management training, get into the field, go on customer calls with the field SEs,"
