Submit a Review"I love Flash because it is a great platform for creating animations and games which are my passion. However, working within a department that designs for mobile first applications there is no room for Flash anymore."

What do you like about working at L-3?
"The people that I worked with directly were great, and I loved the office where I was at. they encouraged learning."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"If you are looking to build your resume or start a career in government contracting, this is a good start."
What don't you like about working at L-3?
"It was a fairly restrictive environment as a whole. It is a military defense contractor, so there is none of the traditional perks of working for a tech company."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Lighten up the environment a little. Allow the developers to wear everyday clothes. IT is a little ridiculous to make devs sit around in a suit and tie."
What do you like about working at Grooveshark.com?
"The environment was great and there were good perks, such as catered food. But the best part was a room full of very smart developers."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"It's more about personality than skill when you apply, so have fun with it."
What don't you like about working at Grooveshark.com?
"Management chose poorly when growing the company, and also misappropriated the direction of the application features, and didn't listen to developers."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Listen to your employees, especially the ones doing the work. If they're making something they don't agree with it won't be a very good product. Consensus and inclusion is important to motivate people."

What do you like about working at Animax Entertainment?
"I was led to believe that Animax had a lot of growth potential. But after a couple of weeks, it became very apparent that this is just some pipe dream management has to turn the company around into a major digital marketing company. I think they have a long way to go before they can even start to compete with iCrossing, or ZenZui. Animax is basically a hack gaming company, and a virtual sweat shop for developers. I wouldn't go back for all the tea in China."
What don't you like about working at Animax Entertainment?
"Animax has some very talented developers. However, it is very clear that none of them have ever worked in a major, enterprise development environment before. Most of the developers I have come to know there are crack-coders. Great at implementing on-the-fly code fixes, but not one of them could tell you what a UML diagram is, or have ever heard of code review. If you're into sweat-shop, hack development, this is your place."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Management seems to have this idea that they can take this small, service-based Web gaming and entertainment company, and turn it into a competative digital marketing enterprise. I don't see that happening with their current business model."
