What do you like about working at Wright Construction Group?
"I enjoyed the team work aspect of the company as well at the commitment to technology. The management has a family first mentality, which meant alot to me and my family."
What don't you like about working at Wright Construction Group?
"As an estimator your end goal it to be successful bidding projects including those in the competetive market against other contractors. I felt that Wright Construction was not as competetive as the could be therefore winning projects was few and far between."

"Determine how to become more competetive on projects when bidding against other contractors."

"None. But they did listen if the employees did have any."

"I love the construction industry, and I love that I am able to contact and converse with subcontractors."

"Just Do not do it. I recommend you be very careful, and get all information BEFORE you accept a position with this company. Ask other employees how they like working there, before you accept a position."
What don't you like about working at Gerardi Construction?
"Too many hours per week, boss is paranoid about every employee, cameras set up to watch employees Boss is unapproachable, literally. No comraderie within employees. Employees are nasty to each other, for no reason."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"TRUST the people you hire, or do not hire them. Care about your employees! They are helping YOUR company. Salary should mean 40-45 hours, NOT 50-55 hours per week. We have family too. Warnings to employees who disrespect each other. THAT makes it hard for everyone. Your employees are scared of each other, and of you. Not very comfortable. That leads to people not being loyal, and not wanting to work for you."

"It pays well. It has a open schedule and work hours."

"Its a great job if you didn't go to college and you don't mind working in a hostile environment. This is great for some people, but you will be doing the same thing in 20 years that you will be doing on the first day."

"We exist soley based on our legacy relationships. We're unable to compete with other companies without resorting to shady dealings. We're stuck in the 1950's work mentality."

"Enhance communications through out the organization. Make the company more about the results and less about keeping up with traditional work methods."

"The company had very bad management practices which was brining it down and putting it out of reasonable bid positions."

"I did not like the fact that the company had to grow so fast and then laid-off people as soon as they did not win enough projects to cover the actual expense. Bad strategy!"

"Fellow employees for the most part are good people. Company has access to many different sectors of construction."

"Be careful about which business group you get into. Political survival is key asset."

"Their structure and seeming instability in controlling budgets at the highest level impacts my work and environment and nobody really understands why we are so unstable. They are not employee focused anymore."

"Better communications to people on the front lines. People that don't have any money (budget) for development will not stay with the company."
