"As a unit of the bankrupt Tribune Co., the situation is volatile. If a stipulation of some sort is important to you, get it in writing. Be sure to establish opportunities for training in new technologies that might be important in the future."
What don't you like about working at Sun Sentinel?
"Working weekends and holidays and late hours on some shifts--after different assurances from previous management."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Break out of silos established in earlier, fatter times. Editors and designers were divided into separate desks. That might have worked well in good times but let to turf wars and bad decisions when cuts had to be mde."
