What do you like about working at Medtronic?
"I loved working at Kyphon because it was medium sized and growing. There were a lot of opportunities and challenges."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"It's great if you like working 9:30 to 4."
What don't you like about working at Medtronic?
"After the acquisition by Medtronic, our staff got downsized by 2/3. All the legacy systems are being migrated to Headquarters. There's just less and less to do here."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I guess it's that if you buy a company, you need to own it. All too often, it's felt like we are out of sight and out of mind."

"Amenities, training opportunities."

"Commute."

"They were a good company and cared for their employees."

"I worked for them as an indpendent consultant and the support is not bad."

"When the person who hired me left and the last manager was not very good about seeing how or what was going on with the project."

"Do a lot more followup."

"I don't have any complaints."

"Some of the management should listen more to employees."

"There were lots of meetings for no reason."

"They need ways to cut some of the red tape."

What do you like about working at SAIC?
"I haven't worked for SAIC since 2006, but I learned a LOT while there. It was great for my career. I had three jobs while there 5.5 years, all of which I enjoyed."
What don't you like about working at SAIC?
"*very* political environment. A lot of your movement had to do with your connections, not necessarily your performance. The epitome of 'the good ol' boys' network."

"Management and projects."

"Short term contract."

"Consider contractors for perm jobs."

"I used to have an office.They offered Flex Time.They have a golf league.I created my own job description."
What don't you like about working at KUKA Systems North America?
"Taken for granted.Any time you go the extra mile, it's expected of you all the time and you are penalized.I worked 50 to 60 hours per week as a salaried employee for 10 years. Once I cut back my hours to 45, I was let go for being incompetent and was replaced by a new hire for half my salary. I was told she was being hired to be my assistant and once I trained her I was let go."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Treat your loyal employees like people and not some commodity or cattle to be sold. Don't give them great reviews and bonuses for 10 years then get rid of them because you can get someone cheaper."

"It was a great company to work for, great environment and exposure"

"Don't waste time they have regard for people, I lost my job to an outsourcing company and they have done the same to other employees' on a global level. We're talking thousands of job losses around the world"

"It's been taken over by Vale and its just been run down, not moral"

"Shouldn't have sold out to Vale"
