"I was offered a senior claims role with Sedgwick thinking it would be an advancement in my career from a claims analyst role, and I should have kept looking. There is no onboarding or training and I waited 1 month to get access to the claims system. Management could careless about you, they barely respond to any emails, they just want to look good to their clients. They throw a boat load of work at you that has been open for 9 +years and you need to report to 4 different people to submit anything or for any work to get done. They have expectations that are not explained to you and the files are a complete mess. The culture is not inclusive and they have deliberately not included team members in meetings. Management lied to me several times about the accounts and continued to ignore me throughout my tenure there. Accepting a job with Sedgwick will be the biggest mistake of the year and one I am happy to look and leave back. Please do yourself a career favor and keep looking and do not get lured into this company and it’s poorly managed environment."
"We were bought out by Sedgwick in 2019 & I was hoping for a better work environment, but have been very disappointed. I've worked for a smaller TPA since 1992 & customer satisfaction was top priority. With Sedgwick, however, it seems to be all about revenue and not our clients. Instead of focusing on one or two jurisdictions, I have been given numerous jurisdictions in which I have no knowledge of and have received no training. Due to the current circumstances of Covid-19, it seems like it would be prudent to keep adjusters in the jurisdictions that they are familiar with instead of dumping additional ones on to their workload. Although the PTO is generous, it's almost not even worth it to take a day off because when you return to work, even after just one day off, you're buried in emails, calls, and new claims that no one is able to help out with in your absence! I do NOT recommend applying for a job at this company!"
"It was like being a janitor in heaven and when I show up with a mop, I get told to not clean up a mess."
"Great company to work for with good benefits."
"Sedgwick is a great company with great benefits. However, the opportunity for advancement in a virtual setting is very limited."
"They make you pay for parking - $80/ month or you can walk six blocks through a sketchy area to the office. Backstabbing, un-supportive management, nice co-workers, crime-ridden location, horrible work/ life balance unless you love overtime, overworked overloaded underpaid unappreciated. Many quit before me and I should have seen the red flags but jobs are hard to find in this industry. LOTS of NEPOTISM. Avoid this place or you will regret it. They pay very low compared to BLM.gov standard."
"Very promising words that are never backed up. Was told after 6 months would easily get a promotion lined up... my 6 month mark was almost 2 years ago, and I'm still in the same position."
"Horrible."
