"I do enjoy working for Securitas, however there is a serious lack of communication from the main office to each site."

"Securitas is a good company to get off your feet from not working for awhile and to further your education as well."

"I've worked for Securitas for about a year now and it's rather the opposite of what many think about security. Regardless on the site you are contracted to your level of strictness, professionalism and required duty on site will without a question rise. They have a strong ethic, hence their worldwide presence."

"Security is generally a dead end insofar as I do not want to learn to carry a sidearm. That would be the next step necessary to advance in the company. However, if I carry a sidearm, I expect to have to use it, and I do not want to have to use a sidearm.Perhaps I should have been a defense attorneyI do this security work because it has flexible schedules and locations."

Security Guard

"Guard of six years now, would've left by now if I didn't need Christmas money. Minimum wage (despite their recruitment slogan stating above average industry wages), no actual breaks during shift, no room for advancement, wage does not increase with experience, absolutely no holidays off and time off is literally forbidden around Christmas time. You must put in seven years just to get three weeks of vacation time. Local office is incompetent, constantly messing up the pay of almost every guard I work with (with one guard once not being paid for several weeks in a row). I was also once briefly fired for taking a scheduled and approved vacation that had been planned and paid for prior to being hired. Yes, you read that right. Once Christmas is over and I feel a little comfortable financially, I'm waving goodbye to this awful company."

"I've worked with this company for 8 years and have not yet moved up into a favorable position. This is a job and not a career. Good for people who have retired or just to pay the bills while looking for real work."
