What do you like about working at TMP Worldwide Advertising & Communications?
"The laid back atmosphere, having a team that I work well with, a boss that doesn't micro-manage and the opportunity to manage myself and others."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"If looking for a management position I would definitley recommend it, however if you are starting off at an entry-level position the turn over can be high and usually is okay for 1-2 years"
What don't you like about working at TMP Worldwide Advertising & Communications?
"With a horizontal structure the future career possibilities with the company seem limiting unless you enter at a management level. Some of the employees, while they have been at the company a while are not self sufficient and do not understand new roles within the company, such as my own. The lack of a management process has been difficult when it comes to upper management and the ceo. When up for a promotion, it took over 4 months to finalize and when it came down to it what we had discussed was not delivered. Normally this would be something to discuss with HR, however the Chicago office lacks a Human Resource department and the CEO must approve all hires, raises and promotions, regardless that she is not in the office or seeing the day-to-day work on our team. While I have truly enjoyed working with my team members and my boss the opprotunities to expand my career have been difficult and drawn out."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Implement a new management process, which would help with hiring, retainment, promotions, human resources and overall business processes to provide structure and a secure future."
