"I did like the comraderie with the crew, when one had a good crew (rarely), but the best thing was the independence and freedom of being offshore."

"There was a general lack of intelligence all around."

"Be more empathetic to the boat crews. If they could find a way to spend just one 28-day hitch on a boat, that would create all the empathy needed."
