"I would suggest that they look somewhere else unless they need a paycheck. Ask HR about the frequency the targeted bonus is paid. Fully understand what the benefits are and what restrictions are placed on them,. The key for the interview is cross-team collaboration and customer service commitment."

What don't you like about working at Safeway?

"I didn't have enough challenges. After a while, all the projects became repetitive. I thrive on challenge.The CIO was inconsistent and prevented his direct reports from doing their jobs. Yet he provided no directions or guidelines, assumed no risk, and quickly blamed someone if he didn't like what they were doing."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"The company focus on cost cutting by eliminating office supplies and continues staff reduction. I would hire a season Chief Marketing Officer to develop innovate ways to attract and retain customers. The business units need shared objectives to align their focus on the well-being of the company not just their LOB. IT would need to differentiate itself by agile and quality delivery or be outsourced."
