"at first I liked the opportunity I was given to move up, after company came out of bankruptcy there was a movement to cut superintendents and I was one"

"be careful what you are getting in to, make sure that all your t's are crossed and i's are dotted"

"too many lies, was told I had a position as business unit quality manager then was sent an email stating the company was going in a different direction"

"do not be 2 faced, I was told that the position I had was for growth and the next thing I knew I was a RIF"

"It is very important to review the person's performance before supplementing someone else just because of new management taking over."

What do you like about working at gkkworks?
"GKKworks bought out Syska Hennessy, this was a good thing; GKKworks was OK to work for and I wish I was still working for them but in a different department."
What don't you like about working at gkkworks?
"GKKworks bought out Syska Hennessy GKK needs to look at the upper management and remove the one that lives in Chicago, he has no managment skills and hss very bad communications with people. They also need to improve the link between the office and the field, give more support by communicating also following up with the government when they promise something and follow the request that the Navy has requested."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"For the manager that lives in Chicago; limit him to only one or two states to run projects also keep him in one department like army marine-cor not three different government agencies like NAVFAC, NASA, & army marine cor. Also give some Kudos to the people that have successful projects and have outstanding reviews from the government. I had four reviews all outstanding and not once did I get a good job from this company manager...what I did get was laid off because of lack of work in the NAVFAC department"
What don't you like about working at Libman?
"Wish it was closer to my family living on the West Coast, and the benefits."
What do you like about working at Harder Mechanical Contractors?
"Everything they openenss to suggestions and their commitment to Safety HArder Mechanical hit 1 million hours without lost time on the job in Nevada."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Have a good knowledge of OSHA 500 regs which is construction based and be relaxed very good company, be prepared to move around the country. That wasnt for me I have 2 children 9 and 2 so NV is where we are staying"

"Corporate Safety Manager from Oregon would make decisions without coming to the site and didnt get along with the foreman of the job made it uncomfortable"

"Its okay to oversee a project but not to Micromanage I have 27 years in this business and I like a little freedom of ideas to present"
What don't you like about working at Kelly Construction?
"Kelly had me fill the needed safety position. The position was limited to the job."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Safety is everyone's responsiblity. It will continue to be the forefront in limiting injuries and dangers."
