Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Suggestions for process improvement are not welcome, kaizen is completely alien to the tiny minds there. This is a job and nothing more so don't expect to create anything lasting. They are 20-30 years behind and catch-up ball will be the game for the next decade."
What don't you like about working at SABMiller?
"The technology base is obsolete. The marketing and sales data gathering technique us at least 20 years out of date and antiquated. Most in-house applications are badly in need of modernization and the place is dominated by a small group of very ancient programmers whose skills have sadly atrophied to near worthless levels."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"They already tossed out one outsourcer...Keane, Inc....and replaced them with HP/EDS. This will help modernize the place and get away from personality cult applications management. They need to modernize the platforms and make use of the Internet instead of obsolete file transfer processes to get sales data warehouse information."
