Working at Rick Shipman Construction in Dexter, MO: 7 Employee Reviews

Rick Shipman Construction Employee

"The personnel that is in charge of this company is trash. They do not care about the clients they do not care about the employees all they care about is money. If that’s what you’re after and that’s what you care about and just want to be a number and they make all the money off of you then go be a puppet because that’s what you’re going to be with this company. This company was a complete waste of time. No Homelife no off time you’re working 60 to 70 hours every week and you’re only getting paid for 40. Do the math. As a superintendent you have no control of your job site working for this company The project managers love glory. They will cut you off at the knee so that they can look like a rockstar even though you’re doing all the work."

"I do not suggest anyone work for this company they have made a habit of hiring people than changing the terms of the job when it benefits them, example - they regularly cancel approved time off and change pay rates without warning promising the non existent bonus’s will make up the difference, but in 3 years the “bonus’s” don’t get paid out as promised. The health insurance the company says they pay 80% of the insurance , but you can get a private policy direct from the insurance company for 20% less then they deduct from employees pay checks. This company does not care about their employees and is always hiring superintendents because no one stays for very long. Find a honest company to work for don’t waste your time with Rick Shipman Construction or you might find yourself in a dead end job where you are stuck so your work history stays reliable. There is nothing worse then being stuck working for a company that don’t treat you right so your work history don’t show any “short time employment” as a professional good companies expect your past work history to be a minimum of 3 years at each company or you’ll be considered as a shaky or short time employee, with your pay slowly decreasing the longer you work for a company makes it difficult to continue working there."
