"Listen to the idea of employee and evaluate it and explain the reason why it works or not work. At the same time, help the employee to grow. That's my dream."

"The employee growth within the company is very limited. Salary compensation should be improved."

"The location of the company is unfortunate as it is located in the most expensive county in the USA."

"If I were running the show, I would cut back on some of the parties and dole out the money as bonuses."

"I like the intelligence level and the friendliness of most people."

"Be very patient and work together to get your feet in. It takes a month or two to get initiated."
What don't you like about working at University of Cincinnati?
"There is no space for advancement and working together; it is really hard to get involved in projects that are going around and got stuck, because of the issues of working together is not allowed from the point of the origination of the grants."

"Ingenious people should be allowed to work with other departments, which needs to be implemented by the government through grant layout, which will bring more power to the outcome of the ongoing projects."

"My objectives are generally clear and defined, and I feel like I am adding to the company."

"Make sure that you like the people that you will be working for as well as the job that you will be working on."

"The organizational structure sometimes makes accomplishing certain tasks difficult or impossible."

"I would reorganize several of the departments and create better work/issue flow."

"Flexible schedule, health benefits, my boss, supportive of my progressive process improvements"
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"It is a great company that is working to be more progressive. They offer perks like compressed work weeks and telecommuting, however some businesses within the company still will not approve that benefit. Get it in writing before starting if you are interested in these types of work arrangements."
What don't you like about working at Cargill?
"I'm just not interested in the work unfortunately, my job is very much outside of my areas of interest and ability"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"More structure to increase high throughput productivity, emphasize career development and utilize the DiSC profiles for better employee engagement"
What do you like about working at The National Academies?
"Although the upper level management is old school, you can end up working on a good project with a good boss and a good team. And if you're lucky, you can negotiate for a flexible schedule in pretty much any permutation."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Express awe at the incredible opportunity you've been given just by getting an interview. Seriously. The President of the Institute of Medicine once said that the privilege of working there was considered to be 1/2 of your compensation. Also, be comfortable doing admin and content work - both will be required of pretty much any position."
What don't you like about working at The National Academies?
"The pay sucks. This is the 6th most expensive city to live in, and making rent can mean 1/2 of your income each month. The upper levels of management have little respect for the worker bees; this is placated by a few seasonal parties - but don't act up, or next time you're up for a raise, someone will remember. Speaking of which, the HR department is NOT on your side. Negotiating for a raise is nearly impossible, and many of the HR managers are downright offensive if you even try."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"The organization treats low to mid-level employees (anyone without a PhD) as disposable. However, they/we are the ones that do most of the work for a project. I would respect and incentivize low to mid-level employees. If you come in with your BA and work here for 4 years while getting your MA/MS, I'm going to do my best to promote you and keep you around because you've got experience and institutional knowledge. If for business reasons, I couldn't pay more (as a non-profit, salaries suck at the mid-level), I would offer more perks - e.g., be more flexible with teleworking and flex schedules."
What do you like about working at University of Maryland?
"It's laid back. I set my own schedules and have students to help do some of the research."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Don't stay postdoc for longer than 2 years ever in any university."
What don't you like about working at University of Maryland?
"Need more challenge. Haven't really been challenged and don't have enough time to work on interesting and challenging projects because of other mediocre projects that my boss keeps pushing on to me."

"Do more interesting work and get more help for the dreary work."
