Research analysts must have strong communication skills to present the information to clients and coworkers. Critical thinking skills are needed to look at the data and develop the best marketing strategy for their client.
Education: In order to enter the field of research analysts, one must have a bachelor's degree in statistics, market research, computer science or math. Some positions require a master's degree.
Career Path: While in college, future research analysts will benefit from internships in sales or marketing. This will give graduates an edge over those students who did not complete an internship. Some research analysts go on to become college professors.
