"This is a good company if you are looking to work in the human service area. Lacks clear instructions from management. Pay does not match the workload. Great opportunity to change someone's life."

"The job is pretty mundane and routine .Lots of paperwork, a little bit of research - nothing feeling like academics, and about 25-30% of the job performing field-work. The outside of the office work is typically behavior or environmental observations. Coworker interaction and lame software/network/computer will be the only real things to worry about. My first month, I was putting in 50 hour weeks, but by month three, I was performing at 115% quota, and working 37 hour weeks at the same salary rate."

"Administration more concerned about profits than clients."

What do you like about working at ResCare?

"Making a difference in the lives of my clients. The rewards came from them -- not from the administration."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Don't expect the salary stated on Career Bliss, as you will be receiving considerably less. When I realized that the work requests I had submitted were not going to be completed properly, I submitted my two-week notice of resignation. I was informed that I would only be required to finish out the week, but they would still pay me for the two weeks. Apparently, someone didn't want me around because I knew too much."

What don't you like about working at ResCare?

"Serious issues fell on deaf ears. Some homes were unsafe. Instead of paying what was needed to fix things properly, shortcuts were taken."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Focus more on the needs of the clients, instead of the profit margin."

"Rescare IRTS center a very terrible place to work. They hired incompetent individuals. A very racist and basis place to work. This place would hire anybody, non qualified staffs are many and only few are qualified. Rescare doesn’t keep staffs at all, lots of turnover. They used the harm reduction method to promote use with clients why are struggling to remained sober. Clients come in sober and on their maintenance of the recovery and relapse few weeks in because of active use. Some staffs calls ResCare IRTS a crack house and a homeless shelter, because they are not helping the client and it’s supposed to be a treatment center. I don’t recommend employment or services to anyone."

"I have worked for ResCare since September 2018, shortly after I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree. While the opportunity to move up within the company has been tremendous, the company culture is extremely toxic and hostile. The work you do is typically appreciated by your clientele, but that being said, there is a LOT of work to be done each and every day. The second you start on one task, you are miles behind on another. Additionally, the team environment is unhealthy, as everyone experiences high levels of burnout from such a mentally demanding career. You will most likely be the target of bullying and discrimination in the workplace if you are under the age of 25. While being at ResCare I have been promoted twice within a very short time frame and I would like to believe it is all due to my extremely hard work ethic and dedication to serving underrepresented populations, however, I also believe that it is because I have been the only employee for several years to work with a compassionate and supportive mindset."
