"Small enough shop that allows a breadth of experiences and projects. Never a dull moment. Work is fast paced. Given multiple opportunities to excel."
"REGIS has been a great stepping stone in my career."
"Great company to work for! I had the opportunity to travel and have fun with my team. Benefits were a plus!"
"The first review couldn't have said it better. Outdated salons, horrible DLs, poverty level wages, terrible, degrading company to work for. Do not waste your time."
"Worked at Regis for almost 4 yrs. I had been thru 5 managers,1 of which wasn't properly licensed, 2 assumed drug addicts, 1 that wasn't there to be a manager or around long enough to see if it could work. The latest manager has not been in the business for nearly 17 yrs. Regis doesn't permit fatigue mats anywhere in the Salon. The sinks are not in the correct ergonomic position. The design and decor of the Salon is outdated. We ate lunch on the W/D because there wasn't enough space in the dispensary for a break area. They make it near impossible to reach commission. They soak up all the profit from products sold until you reach service quota as well. Commission is barely a leg up when you do get it. And knowing that, until a Stylist reaches commission they're a true asset to the company as long as their product sales are strong. They have too tight of a leash on the stylists, As Cosmetologists WE are ARTISTS. I feel this company can hinder your creative mind by having so many restrictions and fine lines. Hosted classes would be a +. It may help to bring the Stylists together as a team. Color, Cuts, Styles, Designs, New Product Reviews (hands on). Also, SUPPORT for the Stylists as they network and try to increase their overall sales. Everyone is different, so maybe some sort of intervention for a stylist who isn't quite making the cut (pun intended), Revisit Color Techniques and Theory for a stylist struggling w/color, 1 on 1 Sales Rep Pep Talks or something. Customer Service review, especially dealing w/ difficult clients. I know the $$$ Regis makes off of their stylists and each service counts, but a Stylist should not have to deal w/ certain situations. In some (most) cases the client isn't always right. Clients don't understand the way we do the entire process. We've all had that client wanting to go from 6 years Level 1-2Box Dye to Platinum Blonde. If the stylist thinks it is best to move in stages of lightening, then the Client and Regis should understand. Regis should stand by their Stylists!!!"
"Regis Corporation is a good "get your foot in the door" company with a fast paced work environment that changes very rapidly. The corporate help desk has almost no knowledge of updates coming out that may increase call volumes, and micro-managing is far too prevalent in that department."
