"The people at RealPage were easy to get along with."

"There is only one group working on PHP applications the rest of the company is Microsoft centric."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Review development processes to increase developer efficiency."

"A company that does not embrace technology and does not improve their products to meet customers demands. The company's product suite consists of products created by competitors that were purchased. There is a constant demand to deliver with no regard to quality."

"They do not micro-manage your work and the flex time is convenient."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"It seems that managerial interaction is different in different departments. Talk to someone who is working in the department that you are interviewing for to get their opinion on the culture there before making any decisions."

What don't you like about working at RealPage?

"There are huge gaps between management and the employees. Inter-department communication is very poor."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would have management consultants come in and survey the employees and environment to determine where the gaps are between management and the employees. Then I would take steps to improve the environment and atmosphere there. Additionally, I would determine a guideline for where the bad hires are and let them go from the company. Certain mindsets are cultures develop out of a few people and their removal can benefit the company as a whole."

"This company has major management issues. I personally had four different managers in less than two years. I know people there who had six different managers in the same time frame. Terrible place to work."

"Decent company to work out, however they favor people in Texas over the remote locations. Communication is lacking from the top, and they move executives around constantly. This leads to a lot of confusion for high-end goals, as well as who is leading who."

"The lower level supervisors and managers and excellent. It's once you get upwards to the corporate level that the structure is all screwed up.Random holidays (pirate day, NFL day) help with the monotony."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Don't - but if you must just be comfortable and speak clearly. That's pretty much the only qualification for working there."

What don't you like about working at RealPage?

"They've spent the past year or so cutting out positions while rapidly expanding. This is leading to a huge number of things just plain not getting done."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Make an effort to be proactive vs reactive. It seems that any innovations are akin to putting duct tape over a leaking pipe.Any efforts made towards the employees are internal marketing ploys to make decreasing benefits seem like a good thing - why not put that effort into something that actual benefits employees"

"I started working at RealPage via acquisition. The engineering department has over gone quite a few changes in the under two years I have worked there causing a bit of chaos but things are starting to even out. The organizational structure is very topped down. It is difficult to get things done without being at the headquarters in Richardson."

"I have been with Realpage for 5 years. No one listened to suggestions or improvements. It doesn't feel good to bring issues to the table as well as ways to correct or improve the process only for it to fall on deaf ears."
