What do you like about working at Rural Community Insurance Agency?

"I am a former employee of Rural Community Insurance Services (RCIS). I was injured on the job in a vehicle accident. After the accident the company took excellent care of me. I received a generous company disability package that included a salary and all my benefits (medical, dental, vision). In addition, I was able to see my regular health care providers. If provided the opportunity I would greatly appreciate the opportunity of returning to RCIS. I have a seizure disorder, however, that entails recurring seizures. I have not exceeded the six month seizure-free period required by California and most other states and, therefore, cannot obtain a Drivers License and driving privileges (the position required driving). I, thus, cannot return to wok at this time. I would, however, recommend RCIS as an employment opportunity to anyone offered a position!"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"The individual should have a good, solid background in the plant agriculture sciences with preferably some work experience in agriculture. He/She should be prepared for a lot of travel and seasonal overtime, particularly in the spring and summer. Have a good personality because you will be servicing several agriculture producers and cooperating with affiliated industry personnel."

What don't you like about working at Rural Community Insurance Agency?

"There was a lot of travel and, often, long hours, particularly during the summer months. I am educated and have an extensive agriculture employment background that ALWAYS included long working hours. Long hours, therefore, were not a limiting factor."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I (we) had an excellent manager who always treated me fairly. I was not involved in upper management and, therefore, cannot comment at this level."
