"My tips for some one else interviewing are: be opened and warm and with a global perspective of the financial marketplace. RBS is a true global company with much of the strategy coming from the UK."

"I didnt like the European open bench style work spaces."

"Management should give the employees the proper tools and administrative support so they can achieve their highest level of results."

"Be sure you are an individual who is not afraid to become the sole go-to person for high-visibility processes, and are able to learn quickly and work mostly independently on your assigned tasks."

"The company culture has been changing from a small, agile company to a large one with the associated controls (some of which are being poorly implemented, leading to inefficiencies)."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Identify the employees who are adding little to no value to the company, but know just enough to make losing them difficult. These employees should be replaced with more knowledgeable individuals."

"Lynk Systems was a great company. RBS was far from it."

"Do not believe anything they tell you, from my experience."

"RBS took over Lynk, and on the 1st day, they laid off 400 employees, and changed rates, quotas and compensation. I resigned two weeks later."

"Productivity, Think outside of the box,, setup weekly team meeting to go over issues."
"RBS has a great work environment. I found the managers to be very professional and genuinely concerned with the development of their direct reports. Unfortunately the Bank's problems repaying its bailout from the UK government has led to many successive layoffs. Otherwise, a great place to work!"
"It's a good company to work with. Best part is it's work life balance."
"I worked for RBS for 2 years and while compensation was pretty good, the environment on a daily basis was emotionally confining. Head down, don't talk, don't joke, work until the bell sounds. Some do really well there, but my manager did not appreciate me attempting to make our jobs any fun or enjoyable. There is no room for promotions or raises. They are promised at point of hire, but discouraged after that. Just be glad you have a job is what we were told often."
