Randall Construction Employee

"Worked in the Alarms department trying to help grow our portfolio of services. We were doing well but unfortunately my leader wasn’t managing the business too well and was let go. My position ended up being cut due to excessive overhead (totally understand) but instead of trying to find another position within the company, I was laid off. Then I discover that the new manager made assumptions about me that were negative. I never had a fair opportunity to show anyone who I was and no one asked for my side of things. They just made assumptions. I’m also sad that my old manager was allowed to run the department so poorly and bring others into the office with him for nearly a year. Why no one corrected him is beyond me. Had I had a fair chance to show the new manager what I was capable of and given a chance to prove myself, I would have given a better review even if still being laid off. Especially when the new management says untrue things about my performance to other companies. Had I known things would go this way, I never would have worked for them in the first place and would still be in my former position with a company I was happy with."
