"I don't like the way the owners treat long-time employees."

"Treat your workers like people and not like tools you can use and then throw away when not needed anymore."

What do you like about working at RadioShack?

"You determine your paycheck, because RadioShack is really a cell phone store. You have to push cell phone sales with high attached rates on accessories, and also solve customer electronic problems, so you should like selling and solving problems for customers."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"You must be upbeat!! You must be a sales hog, and have a lot of knowledge in general electronics and current technology. Preferred cell phones - T-mobile, Sprint, AT&T, Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile, TracFone, Net 10. Again, be very knowledgeable in wireless."

What don't you like about working at RadioShack?

"RadioShack believes in doing all projects in house. RS will not hire any work to the outside, such as inventories, general maintenance, and cleaning. They make the employees do it all."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"They underpay the managers and overwork them. The minimum work schedule for a store manager is 54 works, and during golden quarter it can get to 78 hours a week. RS needs to increase pay and decrease hours. This will stabilize manager turnover."

"I like meeting the customers' needs."

"I don't like slow days at RadioShack."

"There's room for improvement."

"There was nothing I liked working at RadioShack... the only thing was they did discriminate for age!"

"Great job for a kid right out of high school to gain some work experience."

"I didn't like the long hours for little return, and the poor leadership. Using management's techniques to engage customers ended up driving my customers out of the door."

"Let your people be creative in creating their own customer base."

"I like the customer service experience, the merchandise, and my co-workers at RadioShack."

"I dislike not getting commissions sometimes."

"This is a new career experience for me. I came into this job with eyes wide open and willing to learn more than necessary to excel at this job."

"I suggest that they stay current on all facets of current and upcoming technologies. Also, they need to have a good understanding of past technology as well."

"There are no benefits."

"The store manager does a great job."
