"Not a great company to work for."
What do you like about working at QVC?
"Good healthcare benefits, little perks (like free samples, good cafeteria)"
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be prepared to work hard, and deal with a lot of politics. Don't expect sincerity from upper management here- it's all about outward appearances."
What don't you like about working at QVC?
"The workload is overwhelming and upper management turns a deaf ear. You are considered a nuisance when you try to address solutions to workload, and everyone feels that saying anything will be a black mark on your record. Upper management never forgets a mistakes and never gives credit for a job well done. This is a very political company. In the several years I worked there, nothing changed for the better, including the product. There's a lot of focus on 'climbing the ladder'- very little on actual progress for the product of the company."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Focus on the product. Give credit to the people who are doing the footwork. Reward your good workers. Stop preaching about company values for the sake of looking good, and actually help your work force make the business better."
"Solid place to work, but dead end of you're not a merchant."
