"CDI misrepresnts their jobs!"
What do you like about working at CDI Corp.?
"They paid a slightly better than average salary for a Quality Engineer than others in this area."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Don't waste your time."
What don't you like about working at CDI Corp.?
"How much time do you have Here's just a few: CDI falsely accused me of education falsification. In over 15 years I have never had my education questioned by any previous employer. Furthermore, the company employed by CDI Corporation to perform background checks on potential employees (ChoicePoint) has been the subject of numerous complaints, the most severe being this: Several lawsuits and consumer complaints have accused ChoicePoint of providing inaccurate and out-of-date information.....resulting in unfair job losses for applicants. Check it out at: en.wikipedia.org, and enter: ChoicePoint. CDI also misrepresented the position offered. In an e-mail to the CDI recruiter who hired me, I wrote: The job was not as advertised; it was called a quality engineer position but my work duties were more like a quality control inspector, as there was no actual quality engineering work being performed by me. I was not informed by CDI that I would need to wear steel toe shoes for this job; other workers at the job site informed me of this, AFTER I accepted the job offer. I am medically prohibited from wearing such shoes due to an injury received while in the military - and a real QE works at a desk, not on a machine shop floor, so steel toe shoes are not necessary for a real QE position. It was for this reason that I left the job.....and CDI has kept me from receiving unemployment benefits ever since (and for all I know, may be bad-mouthing me too; I'm still unemployed!)."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Be much more truthful about the jobs and job description you offer....and use someone, ANYONE other than ChoicePoint to verify an employee's background."
