"I was Qlogic for 9+ years and was very happy with the culture and the management style that was enforced. The work load and deadlines were reasonable and the atmosphere was very laid back. There wasn't a whole lot of innovation but a lot of rehashing of old designs with new specs to meet design requirements. This worked well for the company since there was no need to re-invent the wheel. The salaries were on the bottom 25% of the scale with very poor bonus and stock awards. For a company with quite a few millions in the bank, it's sole focus was to keep the stock market happy."

"Executive management is out of touch and poor in their vision and the way they don't empower very bright people that can make a big positive difference for the company."

"Learn from the very bright people that care so much. Empower them. Don't make them feel threatened and like they are machines."
